As difficult as it is to believe, another year has flown by and it is time to wish you all a belated Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year for 2019!

The Euroshrimpers have a busy year 2018 behind them with workshops at the Fish International in Bremen, Germany at the start of the year and the excellent “Production of penaeid shrimp in Europe” session so professionally organised and presented by Dr Stefan Meyer of the KNAQ Network at the World Aquaculture Society Conference in Montpellier, France.

At each meeting and workshop the numbers grow, and the diversity of producers, investors, researchers and suppliers expands and many new RAS farms have come into production this year. In the coming year, we plan to repeat the Euroshrimp 2017 (now 2019) conference in Bremen and are open to topic suggestions and ideas from all community members.

Last newsletter we took the time to report existing Post Larvae suppliers to Europe. This time, on the suggestion of Guillaume Le Reste in France (g.lereste@halieutica.net), we are providing our known list of diet suppliers into Europe. Suppliers vary, and some only offer products for specific life-stages, yet all those listed are supplying to European farmers!
