Recap Euroshrimp Meeting @AE2025 Valencia
Dear Euroshrimp Community!
Let’s take a look back at the fantastic Aquaculture Europe 2025 event in Valencia! The Euroshrimp Forum was a huge success this year, and we would like to thank you for attending. It was an insightful day, filled with engaging presentations and lively discussions in a beautiful location. The venue’s modern features and welcoming atmosphere created the perfect setting for our event! We are delighted that around 50 people from various sectors came together.
Our experts delivered seven gripping presentations on inspiring topics. Matthew Slater (AWI) presented the Euroshrimp Network, and Michael Krammer (White Panther) discussed acclimation and nursery management strategies. Marianne Green (ASC) spoke about the welfare principles for shrimp farms. David Sánchez Peñaranda (Universitat Politècnica de València) shared insights on training early-career researchers in biofloc technology. Other topics included best practices in virtual reality, presented by Hendrik Monsees (4Dim Blick), and Isabela Pinheiro (AWI) concluded with a discussion on the production of brown shrimp.
For anyone who missed the presentation or would like to take a look at it again, feel free to download the presentations from the Euroshrimp website. Take this opportunity to recall all the important and exciting information.
A big thank you goes to all participants who enriched the event with their questions and contributions, as well as to our speakers, who contributed significantly to the success of the day. We are already looking forward to future events and are excited to hear your suggestions for topics or speakers for the next Euroshrimp event. If you have an idea or would like to present, please let us know! We are always looking for new ideas to help us improve our events.
Thank you again for your participation at our Euroshrimp Event at the AE2025 in Valencia. We are looking forward to see you soon at our next event!
Kind wishes and all the best,
Your Euroshrimp Team
